It is with great pleasure that we welcome you and your child to Naíscoil Éanna.
The Naíscoil has been providing pre-school education through the medium of Irish for Children from Glengormley for 6 years now, and has been maintained through the efforts of staff, parents and the committee.
Our Gaelscoil has been opened from September 2007 and will be situated initially in a port cabin adjacent to the Naíscoil. The school has already gained Government recognition and has pupils to start rang 1 this coming September. It is worth noting that the children will be accepted into the Naíscoil on the condition that they transfer to the Bunscoil. It is also important to stress the need for parental involvement regarding the language and we would hope that all parents would begin to learn the language for the benefit of their children.
There is a beginner’s class, which starts each September, held in the Naíscoil.
It is important for you as parents to know that the Naíscoil staff are here to offer every assistance to you and your child and you should never hesitate to contact a member of staff if you have any problems or queries.
We hope you and your child will be happy with us during the 2 years at Naíscoil Éanna, and it only remains for us to tell you that all the staff look forward to meeting you and your family.
We have prepared a booklet to hopefully answer some questions you may have and to give you some information that you may find helpful.
