Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir!

Reminder of forthcoming closures:
School will be closed on Friday 15th March 2013 to facilitate staff training and Monday 18th March 2013 for a school holiday – All provision will resume as normal on Tuesday 19th March 2013.
Easter Holidays will commence on Good Friday 29th March 2013 and school will re-open as normal on Tuesday 9th April 2013. The term will finish at 12pm on Thursday 28th March 2013 – Bus service will be limited due to a clash with Naíscoil at this time and thus we ask that where possible, parents make an alternative arrangement.

School Meals
We are happy to inform parents that the provision of hot school meals will re-commence on Tuesday 19th March 2013.
We have attached a new dinner menu for your attention.

Seachtain na Gaeilge Events;
Friday night – Craic agus Ceol, Irish language quiz with Tarlach Ó Brannagáin followed by music from the legendary Seán Mac Corraidh – Naomh Éanna Clubhouse 8pm until late.
Saturday – Dianchúrsa
One day intensive Irish language course this coming Saturday 16th March, 10am until 2pm. Classes pitched for 3 various levels; Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. The cost of the tuition is £10 and this will include a light lunch.
Childcare will be provided if required at no extra cost.

Gaelscoil Éanna’s Gaelic Football Team have been invited to play an exhibition game during half time of the Antrim Game at Casement on Saturday 16th March 2013. It would be great to see other pupils and their families there in club colours to support our school team, the game kicks off at 2pm.

Irish Language Mass – An Irish language St Patrick’s Day Vigil Mass will take place in St Mary’s on the Hill Church on Saturday 16th March at 5pm. We request that as many Gaelscoil children as possible are present in school/club attire and particularly choir children who will be singing at the service. It would also be nice to see Rang 3 who have recently celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation together with Rang 4 who are currently preparing for First Holy Communion. We ask the choir children to be there for 4.15pm.
St Patrick’s Day Family Fun at Naomh Éanna Clubhouse 2-5pm
Art & Crafts for the children, Hurling and Football Finals on the big screen, Traditional Food tasting sessions, Traditional Music and an attempt to break Cushendall’s record for the longest Waves of Tory outdoors all to be hosted onsite on Sunday. Free Event for all the family!

Annual St Enda’s Club Mass
The annual club mass will be celebrated at 1pm in St Bernards Church on Sunday 24th March 2013. We would ask that as many Gaelscoil children as possible are present in school or club attire.

Irish classes
Parents Irish class for beginners to be held at Gaelscoil on Monday evenings 7-9pm. No Cost!
GCSE revision class on Tuesday night 7-9pm for 4th & 5th year pupils sitting Irish GCSE. No Cost!

Cumann Óige
We are hosting a pyjama and DVD night on Friday 15th March 2013 from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Come along in your favourite PJ’s to join in on the craic!!!.

Ballot tickets are available from the school office at a cost of £1.00 each – There are a range of lovely Easter prizes to be won. Items were kindly donated by Liam & Matthew McAllister’s grandmother Trea and by Ethan & Conor McBriarty’s grandmother Eithne in aid of Gaelscoil funds.
